Teaching Resources

WEBSITES

If you are creating a timeline in the classroom or students have access to computers, this is a great resource for them!!!

Again I said it before but SERIOUSLY Pinterest is amazing and has so many great ideas for any subject and any age!

Another great resource is Teachers Pay Teachers! It cost barely anything if you buy any lessons, worksheets or unit plans! It has many great ideas!!! We're teachers we share ideas :)

As a teacher you should always be familiar with the common core standards

Another great way to do a presentation is using Prezi! This is so much cooler than using the bland Microsoft word power point  This is a fun and creative way to present and insert images. My students even used Prezi to present their flower inquiry projects. The biggest challenge is that each student does need to set up an account using their email. Many of my students would misspell their email and then not be able to log back on. So be careful of that! :) Otherwise excellent resource and I use it ALL THE TIME!

Scholastic is another really great site, it has lesson plans, warm up activities, videos and many GREAT teaching ideas. My class does the morning warm up EVERY morning. It includes both a language arts and math question/questions.
